Ireland’s cryptocurrency use has dropped 16% in a year.

According to recent data, it appears that the number of cryptocurrency investors in Ireland has somewhat fallen over the past 12 months. The use of cryptocurrencies in the island country has decreased during the past year by roughly 16.6%, according to the survey. 10% of the adult Irish internet users surveyed today possess cryptocurrency, down from 12% in 2021.

“We saw huge drops in the price of Bitcoin at the start of May and June and while we did see a reduction in the number of people holding cryptocurrency it’s not as severe as expected.”

With 72% of holders being men, the poll also demonstrated the dominance of Irish male investors over female investors. This gender difference is consistent with the fact that men predominately work in the crypto industry as a whole.

As the area continues to merge with numerous international sectors, this is gradually changing. The number of women investors climbed by 126%, according to the BTCM Investor Study Report of 2021. The 35% ownership of Bitcoin (BTC) that Irish investors are most interested in is among local users. Dogecoin (DOGE) (26%) and Ether (ETH) (23%) are the next two in line.
